January 17, 2014 SFTC PICKS

Written by

Due to recent issues within the 27inarow SFTC group page, I had to do a major cleanse of the group.  If you feel that you were wrongly removed from the group, feel free to inbox my ESPN account, message me on the forum, or email me.  There have been people flagging posts, causing them to be removed and people to be banned.  These problems have to stop.  That was why I had to remove anyone that I did not know very well in the group.  When you message me, provide reasons why you should be trusted and also provide the link to your SFTC entry page that displays your statistics and info.  You can always browse and post on the forum if you are not in the group.

My Personal SFTC Record (Majority as a monthly wins player): 4,130-3,244 (.561)
Personal January SFTC Record (Felixgodnandez – monthly player): 60-45
Overall Site Picks Record: 7,648-5,708 (.572)
Overall Pick of the Day Record: 201-90 (.690)
January Overall Record: 137-114
January Stash Path Record: 7-5

Stash Path
1. Lille
2. Wizards
1. Ghana (Low Streak): Can’t go against Ghana at home in domestic competition.

2. Kokrak (Low Streak/Confident)

3. Ethiopia (Low Streak/Confident)

4. Lille (Low Streak/Confident)

5. 2/Fewer (subject to change)

6. Wizards (Low Streak/Confident): The Wizards are one of those teams that randomly explode for huge games like they did against the Heat.  They have a lot of talent and can be dangerous at times offensively.  I think they’ll sneak into the playoffs in the awful Eastern Conference.  The Bulls have somehow played great after Deng was traded, but that won’t last.  The Wizards are favored by 4.5 points.

7. Raptors (Low Streak): The Raptors have been one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference since they traded away Rudy Gay.  That isn’t too much of a surprise because teams that trade away Rudy Gay have actually had more success after the fact in recent years.

8. Blue Jackets (Low Streak)

9. Green Bay (Low Streak)

10. Clippers (Low Streak): Knicks playing on consecutive days and looked dreadful against the Pacers last night on the road.  I’ll take the Clippers even without Paul against this inconsistent Knicks team.

11. Bradley (Low Streak): What an exhilarating matchup we have here.  Bradley -3.5 at home.

12. Blackhawks (Low Streak): Potential preview of the Western Conference Finals.  Skip this.

13. Suns (Low Streak): Suns are one of the more underrated teams in the NBA, but maybe one of the more overachieving teams too.  Tough pick.

14. Thunder (Low Streak): Thunder on a back to back and have been struggling lately.  I’d take the Warriors if they were home.
